Bio:

I went to York College with Linda (Hester) Wright. I met my husband there. I graduated from York with an AA degree in Education. Joe and I then went on to Lipscomb. Joe graduated with a degree in accounting. I did not graduate at that time, but started having babies. We had 3 in a row. Boy, girl, boy - all 22 months apart.

After Joe graduated, we moved to Iowa, where he took a position with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell accounting firm. We then moved back to Nashville and from there we moved to South Carolina. We lived on the inland waterway and all the kids loved living there. They could catch fish off the dock and swim, swim, swim. After Beaufort, we moved back to Nashville, where we lived for 11 years. When our oldest son (Jeff) went off to U.T., we moved to Boston, MA. Our daughter and youngest son, graduated from Acton schools, and then Joe and I moved to Gloucester (pronounced Glosta) while all the kids were in college. We rented a house overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It was wonderful. From MA, we moved to Pittsburgh, PA (also a very nice town).

During all this time, I worked odd jobs to help out with the kids schooling. I have worked in a plant store, painted key chains, been an office administrator, an executive secretary and owned a print shop. After Pittsburgh, we moved back to Nashville in 1990. I worked for Vanderbilt; Joe worked as a Med Admin for a Medical firm. In 1993, I received my Master's degree from Peabody and started working as a Special Education teacher for Metro Schools as a Vision Specialist. My students are visually impaired and mainstreamed into the regular ed program.

After 32 years of marriage, Joe and I divorced. We have 6 beautiful and talented grandchildren from our beautiful and talented children.
